Trying To Get a-Head

It’s been a while since I have tidied the studio, so today was the day. There is no doubt that the place is much better than when I started, but it’s still a mess all the same. I have always admired artists that have all their paint sorted according to hues. Brown tubes of paint lying next to red, then comes orange, maybe yellow? It all moves along like an ordered colour chart, and you know exactly where to place your hand to find stuff.

I heap a box of tubes on the table and place a cupids head on top. I firmly believe that the cupids head will guide me to exactly what I need when I need it. If the cupid malfunctions, I can always fall back on chance, my favourite ingredient in any artistic endeavour.

But, I did pay attention to the colour wheel when I tidied all my pens. I even treated my long-suffering brushes to a spa day. All while waiting for paint to dry.
